Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
1. Overview
Core Stage ("we", "us", "our") operates a match management platform for competitive shooting. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from shooters, match organizers, range officers, administrators, and visitors (collectively, "users"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, role, club affiliation, certifications, USPSA/IDPA membership numbers, division, classification, and profile photo.
- Match data: registrations, squad assignments, stage scores, penalties, classifications, and historical results.
- Payment data: processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partners. We store only the last four digits of cards and transaction identifiers — never the full card number or CVV.
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, offline-sync events, and approximate geolocation for security and analytics.
- Communications: support tickets, emails, and feedback you send us.
3. How we use your information
We use client data to:
- Operate the platform, run matches, and display results and leaderboards.
- Process registrations, payouts, and the service fee charged at checkout.
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, and cheating.
- Improve our products and develop new features, including aggregate analytics on how shooters and organizers use Core Stage.
- Send transactional emails (registration confirmations, score releases, password resets) and, with your consent, occasional product or sponsor announcements.
- Surface anonymized or aggregated insights to sponsors and the broader competitive shooting community (e.g. "most-shot divisions in 2026"). Individual identities are never sold.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How we share information
- With organizers: when you register for a match, the hosting organizer receives your name, contact info, division, and classification.
- Publicly: match results, squad lists, and leaderboards are public by default. You can hide your display name from public leaderboards in your profile settings.
- Service providers: payment processors, cloud hosting, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics vendors — bound by contract to use data only on our behalf.
- Legal: when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies for login sessions and offline sync, plus first-party analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.
6. Data retention
Account and match data are retained while your account is active and for up to 7 years afterward to maintain the integrity of historical results and comply with tax and accounting laws. You may request deletion of your account at any time; public match results may remain visible in anonymized form.
7. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access control, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
9. Children
Core Stage is intended for users 13 and older. Junior shooters under 18 must have a parent or guardian create and manage their account.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and process data in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. By using Core Stage you consent to the transfer of your information across borders.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
